The Pixel Fund grant will be used to expand and develop our counselling provision for young people during 2020.
We are creating two additional counselling spaces within our premises (in addition to our three existing rooms). With funding in place, we will expand our counselling provision for young people aged 18-25. Based only 500 metres from the University of Surrey we already have several students attending our counselling, those preferring to support from an organisation independent of the university.

Most recently they granted £10,000 in total towards a four year research project, which advanced a promising potential genetic therapy for the childhood muscle-wasting condition: spinal muscular atrophy. We are delighted and extremely grateful to receive the support of The Pixel Fund once again…

Dementia presents varied, complex and constantly evolving challenges to people living with dementia and their loved ones. Those affected need time, care, and to feel that they are not alone. They need ongoing, dementia-specific support, given freely – which is exactly what the Pixel Fund is very generously helping to provide through Dementia Support’s far-reaching Wayfinding service.
