Building happy and healthy relationships with LMK

Let Me Know (LMK) is an education charity working to prevent relationship abuse before it starts, giving young people the skills to avoid abuse and fill their lives with relationships that support them to be well and thrive.

LMK achieves this through delivery of preventative workshops to young people aged 11-24 in schools and community settings. These workshops are delivered by LMK’s team of skilled and passionate Workshop Facilitators who build trust and create safe spaces for young people to have these conversations.

“Thanks so much for the workshops, the group has continued to speak about how much they learned but also the relationship & trust they established with the facilitators. The fact that the facilitators were relatable and approachable to our members and reflected shared lived experiences was a really important factor that led to the success of workshops and what the young people were able to take away from them.” (Feedback from a community setting.)

Happy and healthy relationships can be an incredible foundation for good mental health. But in the same breath, an unhealthy and abusive relationship can have a significant and lasting impact on mental health. This is why LMK targets young people in their formative years to help break the cycle of relationship abuse.

LMK’s workshops empower young people to spot unhealthy relationship behaviours, have the confidence to create  boundaries, understand consent, safely end abusive relationships, and to fill their lives with supportive relationships that promote mental well-being.

“Before I used to get quite worried when it came to relationships, I was scared whether I was going to end up in an abusive relationship, but I've been highly educated today and I will definitely be using this in the future… It was one of the best workshops I've ever attended.”  (Year 9 pupil supported by LMK)

LMK is only in its fourth year and has already helped over 13,000 young people across London to identify the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships. 87% of young people we surveyed in January 2024 said that they want more education on healthy relationships - it’s with thanks to the Pixel Fund that we’re able to do just this!

With The Pixel Fund’s support, LMK will grow delivery of its preventative workshops and bring this crucial relationship education to thousands more young people, ensuring they have the tools they need for happier, healthier futures.
