Me2 Club is a charity which helps children and young people with additional needs and disabilities aged 5 – 19 access social, sports and leisure activities in Berkshire. It was set up in 2003 by a group of parents who wanted the same opportunities for their disabled children. Our vision is of a more inclusive society where disabled children have equal access to and can actively participate in mainstream leisure activities, leading to improved social connections, personal growth, and well-being. We believe that every child, regardless of their abilities, should have the chance to engage in activities that promote personal growth, social interaction, and skill development.
The Pixel Fund supports our Inclusion for All Project: Empowering Disabled Children through Mainstream Activities. To achieve our objective we proactively recruit, provide specialist training and support to passionate volunteer befrienders. We carefully match our volunteers to individual children, who require their direct involvement to access opportunities within their chosen weekly activity.
“Me2 Club is there when no one else is and they enable your child to have what other children have and why shouldn’t they”? (Parent 2020).
Thank you to The Pixel Fund for their continued support in helping us to develop a more inclusive community.
