In 2025 Friends for Leisure celebrates its 30th anniversary. From our humble beginnings in 1995 to supporting hundreds of disabled children and young people today, Friends for Leisure is proud to celebrate 30 years of making a positive impact. We couldn’t have done it without the help of our volunteers, our fundraisers and organisations like The Pixel Fund who have chosen to support the good work that we do.

We are grateful to have received the generous support from The Pixel Fund. This funding will enable our charity to continue to provide a vital lifeline to autistic children. Our autism assistance programme is life-changing for both the autistic child and their family. Autism assistance dogs are trained to provide safety and to facilitate a more independent and socially inclusive life for both the autistic child and their family.

Pop Arts is a charitable organisation based in Haringey, that wants to ensure all young people, regardless of their financial status or the challenging circumstances that they might face, have access to the support and technology they need to make their own music. We believe everyone can make great music and great art, but for those that are less fortunate, there are often barriers in place that restrict their access to the arts and creativity.

We're really grateful to The Pixel Fund for donating to us for our work around mental health support for young people. Whilst a lot of our work is in a group setting, our Youth Social Prescribing service is 1:1 for young people aged 11-18 at risk of social isolation and needing early intervention support to reduce long term mental health concerns.

Grief, loneliness and suicidal thoughts are just some of the symptoms people report when they apply for our free, one-to-one listening support service. Our research has shown that young adults and adolescents (AYA) under the age of 25 typically have the poorest disease outcomes, with a noticeable lack of access to mental health support.

Due to the generosity of the Pixel Fund Mothers for Mothers will be able to increase capacity to provide support for women under 25 through our Peer Support Groups and social activities, our REACH helpline, Art Psychotherapy and Counselling, SEND support, and a Home Visiting Service aimed at women who are too unwell to attend groups or access counselling but who desperately need face-to-face support, helping them to increase their confidence and progress to accessing other provision such as support groups and other services.
