The Kite Trust will deliver a residential opportunity for 12 LGBTQ+ young people in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and the surrounding areas. The residential will be for three days and two nights, and we will undertake a variety of outdoor challenge activities, community building, and safe space work all aimed at increasing the confidence and self-esteem of the cohort, whilst providing LGBTQ+ role models and community space. Our project will address the needs of LGBTQ+ young people, particularly connected to social isolation and lack of affirmative spaces.
