AT The Bus uses art as therapy to support children’s wellbeing and engagement at school, so that they may access the opportunities they deserve.
Working from specially designed on-site studios in schools, AT The Bus provides weekly art-as-therapy sessions for children and young people with a wide variety of complex needs. Our work is proven to improve wellbeing, school attendance and overall academic attainment. Children and young people benefit from the opportunity to engage with creativity as a means of wellbeing and learning support. Schools tell us that this has a ripple effect into their families and schools, and into their futures.
In 2026/27, AT The Bus will provide weekly sessions to students attending Greyfriars Catholic School in East Oxford. This work has been made possible by The Pixel Fund’s generous contribution to our staff salaries, art materials and refreshments for students.
We are incredibly grateful for the support of the fund in enabling us to reach some of Oxford’s most disadvantaged and vulnerable young people.
“AT The Bus is at the centre of our school and its impact ripples through the school community. It is about more than making art; it is about care, attention and detail, providing children with the feeling that they are creating something meaningful and to be proud of” Lyndsey Caldwell, Headteacher of Greyfriars School.
