For many girls growing up in some of Leicester and Leicestershire's most deprived communities, the challenges they face go far beyond the classroom. Low self-worth, social anxiety, bullying, and the weight of multi-generational disadvantage can make it hard to imagine a different future. That's where Love4Life steps in.
Pixel are supporting a Love4Life Group - a safe, welcoming space where vulnerable girls can access the emotional and social support they need to thrive.
Why this support matters more than ever
The need for our work has never been greater. Ongoing cost-of-living pressures mean many of the girls we support are living in deteriorating housing, in communities marked by neglect and a lack of investment. School and mental health budgets are stretched, and CAMHS waiting lists mean young people with multiple needs can wait two years or more for support.
What a Love4Life Group looks like
Sessions take place after school at a local, accessible community venue and are completely free to attend. Groups are intentionally small; a maximum of 15 girls, so that every young person can build genuine relationships with peers and trusted youth workers.
Through crafts, games, and open discussions, we explore topics including self-esteem, body image, healthy relationships, and coping strategies. Activities like self-esteem shields, mindfulness exercises, and creating positive affirmation art give girls practical tools they can carry with them long after the sessions end.

Love4Life's approach is built on a simple but powerful insight: when girls feel better about themselves, everything else improves. Using high-quality, research-supported interventions, we help young people manage their emotions more effectively. As their confidence grows, so do their relationships, their decision-making, and their engagement with school.
The girls we support know they are not alone. They leave our groups with trusted adults they can turn to, friendships forged with others who truly understand, and a belief in their own ability to make positive choices.
