Working in Winchester and its surrounding area, Home-Start Winchester & Districts provides trained volunteers to support parents (with one child under five years old) who are facing challenges. They provide non-judgemental assistance, friendship, emotional help and practical support for families going through challenging times.
Support is through one-to-one home visiting volunteers and family groups.
Our Pixel funding will cover the cost of one-to-one home visiting volunteer support (including training and ongoing supervision of volunteers) specifically targeted at families referred to us because of poor mental health.
We aim to reduce parents’ social isolation and to improve both their self-confidence and their social networks.
