Centre for ADHD and Autism Support

Neurodivergent young people are disadvantaged and stigmatised daily, with many diagnosed with anxiety or depression. A lack of understanding of their needs and busy, overwhelming sensory environments means many neurodivergent young people find school, including friendships, confusing and complicated. This impacts confidence and self-esteem, often presenting as dysregulated behaviours or poor mental health in the short-term and disengagement with education in the longer-term.

CAAS is proud that, with support from the Pixel Trust, we can offer a dedicated monthly creative / social group for ADHD / autistic young people that will enable them to gain an insight into their diagnoses, and what it means for them as an individual, helping them to build a better sense of self, in a space that reduces their social isolation and builds their confidence.

The young people who attend our social groups tell us how much it means to them that they have 'finally found my tribe', and we are are so grateful to the Pixel Trust for supporting us to help more ADHD and autistic young people improve their mental wellbeing, and give them an opportunity to thrive.
