40 Degreez is a Farnham based charity that supports young people between the ages of 10 – 18yrs. We support our young people by providing inclusive and accessible youth services that support vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. Our programmes include the Health Hub for mental health support, Hang Out for Year 6 transition, girls’ self-defence, creative activities such as Dungeons & Dragons, and Outreach and detached work in local areas of deprivation.
We use an asset-based approach to support our young people to build confidence, improve wellbeing, reduce isolation and help young people reach their potential. By using this approach, we can provide immediate and long-term support, building positive relationships with our young people.
We often see young people who have fallen through the cracks and we may be the only adults they see for support. Their support and progress is monitored, we also receive and use feedback from parents that help us to see what positive impact we have on our young people and how we can continue.
The money received from the Pixel Fund will help us to maintain the level of support to the young people of the Farnham area.
Parent testimony: I want to say a sincere thank you to everyone at 40 Degreez for creating such a welcoming, inclusive and engaging space. Since joining, my son has absolutely loved being part of the group. The thoughtful SEN-aware approach has made a real difference — he feels accepted, included and genuinely excited to take part each week.
