The Autism Group is a Maidenhead based charity committed to supporting and enhancing the lives of children and young people on the autistic spectrum, their parents and carers.
We offer a range of Saturday activity clubs, aimed primarily at those on the spectrum who are typically of mainstream ability and are aged between 9 to 30, based on topics the young people told us they particularly enjoy. We work closely with parents to ensure we fully understand and can meet the specific needs of each young person as part of a registration process for all our clubs.
We also offer parent support in the form of free workshops, home visits and informal group chat sessions. Our work is delivered by a warm and friendly team of autism trained staff, many of whom are also parents of children and young adults on the spectrum, supported by a group of fantastic volunteers.
We understand, accept and appreciate the unique characteristics and talents of neurodiverse people and have met some amazing children and young adults, dedicated parents, carers, families and friends since launching the charity in 2016.
