You Raise Me Up

You Raise Me Up was founded in 2011 by Jane and Fraser Brooks following the sudden death of their daughter Megan just days before her 18th Birthday. In the 10 years the charity has been established we have supported over 300 families following the death of a young person aged 16-25 years old.

We offer one to one counselling for all the family members and peers of the deceased as well as monthly support groups for Mums, Dads and Siblings.

We also have our Support Centre and Community Café which is the hub of our charity where people can gather to reduce isolation and where the bereaved can feel safe and be supported.

The grant that we have received from The Pixel Fund will help us to support young people through counselling to ensure they can cope with all the impact of losing a peer.
