In 2015 the MS Society launched a major appeal - our Stop MS Appeal. The appeal aims to raise £100m in ten years to fund research and find therapies that will stop MS as we know it. The Society’s already raised over £40m so we’re almost half way to our total. A vital strand of the appeal is our group of Stop MS Pioneers – philanthropists, charitable trusts and corporates who are funding the infrastructure that all other MS research depends on. This infrastructure includes:
Talented young scientists who work on the breakthroughs people with MS urgently need
The world-leading MS Tissue Bank: Supplying samples of brain tissue for MS research globally
The MS Register: A database of people with MS which is helping us revolutionise our understanding of MS
The UK MS Clinical Trials Network: Our unique network of leading researchers
The Research Programme Team: Co-ordinators of our world-class Stop MS research programme
